Concept of Croatian Urgent Medicine and Surgery Association is to bring together all those who are involved in urgent medicine and surgery, traumatology, reanimatology, military and disaster medicine, intensive and prehospital care and injury prevention to develop optimal prehospital and hospital medical care system for a urgent patients. Our objectives is  to promote training and education in all those areas, to organise meetings and practical courses, establish public relations to promote our aims, to promote contact and co-operation with other national and international organisations whose objects and activities are connected to simmilar aims, to stimulate scientific research and establish sections for important items.
We formed our society on august 22th 2007. year under name Urgent Medicine Association Croatia Pannonian, what we later changed in Croatian Urgent Medicine and Surgery Association. After two International Medical Co-operation Courses with London Ambulance Service and becoming an institutional member of ESTES, our society starts to grow up with new members, professionals with years of practical experience, knowledge, innovative ideas  and positive energy for coordinated and multidisciplinary work.

The bases for Croatian Urgent Medicine and Surgery Association work are activities of sections for important items.Each section has own president and interim board for work independently in specific area under the by-laws of our society. Most of our members have a unique experience from the war in Croatia. We want to show through sections new military medicine doctrines and a difference between combat, tactical and civilian medicine for a practical reasons. One of our aims is to bring medical education to first responders, because care of the patients starts on the scene.

Trauma is the leading course of death in persons between 1 to 44 years of age and for us it is not just a summary of injuries or value of ISS score, we treat it like a serious surgical disease. Preparedness for MCI and disasters include our responsibility to have adequate education, training and to use knowledge and wisdom from those who have practical experience in those events.

Our vision, strategies, goals and values are the quide-post for action and innovation .We are proud to have a honour to be a part of a emergency care system. Croatian Urgent Medicine and Surgery Association will also work towards establishment of Emergency Medicine as a primary medical speciality in Croatia.
